Issue in opening the Excel by giving path in Data item

Hi Everyone,

Good Evening.

Can anyone please advise me on below query:

On opening the Excel workbook, if I am giving the path like shown in Screenshot1, then its working fine, i.e, it opens the excel and i can perform further operations.

But, when I am storing the filename in a data item as a text type and passing it in open workbook action (Screenshot 2 attached), it gives me error: File does not exists.

Hi Shweta,

If you remove the double quotation from the value in data item, the workbook should be opened just fine.

Reason: Since you have already specified the data item as "TEXT", the value inside of the data item will be added with "value" automatically.

Correct :- Eg:- C:\BluePrism\Book1.xlsx Wrong: "C:\BluePrism\Book1.xlsx"
