Error while performing write operation to Drop Down Element?

Hiii,
Generally we use select item action in navigate stage to perform write operation for Drop Down Elements. In that Item Text,Item position and Item Value are input parameters.while Automating its going smoothly if i give position value as input, but results error if we give item value or item text as input. can any one help why it is happening so. please find the attachment.
